Izzy Judd is a British composer and pianist whose work frequently blends classical instrumentation with contemporary influences, often described as neo-classical or minimalist. Her compositions are characterized by emotive melodies, delicate piano arrangements, and a focus on atmospheric textures. She gained prominence following her marriage to Harry Judd, drummer for the band McFly, but has established herself as a respected composer in her own right with several released albums and commissioned works.

The concert will take place at Milton Court, located within the Barbican Centre complex in the City of London. Opened in 2013, Milton Court is primarily a music education facility for Guildhall School of Music & Drama students but also functions as a public concert hall. Designed by Allies and Morrison Architects, it’s known for its acoustically optimized concert hall seating approximately 600 people.

The building replaced the previous Milton Court, which had served as a smaller performance space since the 1950s. The current structure features a distinctive façade incorporating textured concrete panels and aims to provide both world-class teaching facilities and a welcoming venue for diverse musical performances. It regularly hosts recitals, chamber music concerts, and contemporary music events alongside student performances.
