hr-Bigband is a German big band radio orchestra, renowned for its diverse repertoire spanning traditional big band swing, modern jazz compositions, and collaborations across genres including funk, pop, and classical music. They are associated with the Hessischer Rundfunk (hr), the public broadcasting organization for the state of Hesse.

The concert will take place at the Großer Sendesaal (Great Broadcasting Hall) of Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. Opened in 1956, the hall was specifically designed for radio broadcasts requiring exceptional acoustic properties. Architecturally, it's noted for its functionalist style typical of post-war German public broadcasting infrastructure. Over the decades, it has evolved into a respected concert venue beyond its original broadcasting purpose, hosting a wide range of musical performances – from classical orchestras to contemporary ensembles – benefitting from its carefully engineered acoustics and substantial size.
