Hot 8 Brass Band will perform at Komedia in Bath, United Kingdom on August 4th, 2026. The band originates from New Orleans, Louisiana and is known for blending traditional New Orleans brass band music with elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, and rock. Formed in 1996 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Hot 8 Brass Band initially served as a social outlet for young men in the city’s Ninth Ward and has since gained international recognition for revitalizing the brass band tradition.

Komedia is an arts and entertainment venue housed within a Grade I listed building dating back to 1880, originally constructed as a bath house. Located on Westgate Street in Bath city centre, it opened as a performance space in 1994. The building features a main theatre space known for its diverse programme including comedy, music, theatre and film screenings. It also incorporates a smaller studio space and a bar/restaurant area.
