Horse Lords, a Washington D.C.-based band, will perform at Beseda U Bigbítu in Tasov, Czechia on August 1st, 2026. The group is known for its unique instrumental post-punk sound, often characterized by complex polyrhythms, angular guitar work, and a notable absence of traditional song structures. Their music frequently draws comparisons to acts like Can and early Minimalist composers while maintaining a distinctly modern sensibility. They typically employ two bass guitars alongside drums and guitar, contributing to their dense and propulsive sonic texture.

Beseda U Bigbítu translates to “Conversation at the Beat” and is a long-standing cultural venue in the small South Bohemian town of Tasov. Established in 1966 during a period of relative liberalization within Czechoslovakia, it quickly became an important hub for underground music and artistic expression. Initially functioning as a non-official club due to restrictions on privately run venues, Beseda U Bigbítu hosted numerous prominent Czech rock, folk, and progressive bands throughout the 1970s and 80s – often providing a space for artists unable to perform elsewhere.
