Jazz Concerts in Stockholm

Experience Hiromi live on November 8th

Hiromi Uehara, known professionally as Hiromi, will perform at Konserthuset Stockholm on November 8, 2026. Hiromi is a Japanese pianist and composer whose music defies easy categorization, blending elements of jazz fusion, classical, and progressive rock. Her compositions are characterized by virtuosic piano playing, complex harmonies, and dynamic rhythmic shifts, often incorporating extended improvisations. She frequently leads ensembles featuring instrumentation beyond the traditional jazz quartet.

Konserthuset Stockholm opened in 1929 and is renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Designed by architect Ivar Tengbom, it’s considered one of Sweden’s most important concert venues and a prime example of Swedish modernism. The building's main hall is famed for its horseshoe-shaped design inspired by the Musikverein in Vienna, contributing to its superior sound quality.

Throughout its history, Konserthuset has hosted a wide range of internationally acclaimed orchestras, soloists and conductors. It is the regular home of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and hosts numerous recordings and broadcasts. The venue underwent significant renovations in the late 20th century to further enhance its acoustic properties and modernize facilities while preserving its architectural integrity.
