The Forum Music Centre, located on Borough Road in Darlington, originally opened as a cinema in 1937, designed in an Art Deco style by architect William Watson. It operated as a popular entertainment venue showcasing films for several decades. Following periods of closure and redevelopment, it was reopened as a multi-purpose arts and music venue in 1996. The building retains many of its original architectural features while functioning as a contemporary performance space. It hosts a diverse range of events including live music performances, theatre productions, comedy shows and community events; with a capacity of approximately 2,000 attendees for standing concerts. The venue is managed by Darlington Borough Council.
