Hiatus Kaiyote, the Australian quartet, will perform at the Sydney Opera House on July 12, 2026. The band is known for its distinctive blend of neo-soul, jazz, and experimental music, characterized by complex harmonies, unconventional song structures, and Nai Palm’s unique vocal delivery. Their sound often incorporates elements of improvisation and draws influence from a wide range of genres including funk, hip-hop and world music. Hiatus Kaiyote gained international recognition following the release of their debut album *Tawk Tomahawk* in 2012.

The Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney Harbour. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, construction began in 1959 and was completed in 1973. Its iconic sail-like shells cover a series of performance spaces including concert halls, theatres, a playhouse and a studio. The building is renowned not only for its architectural significance but also for its acoustics and its contribution to Australia’s cultural landscape. It hosts over 1,600 performances each year attracting over 1.2 million attendees.
