Hiatus Kaiyote, the Australian quartet, will perform at the Sydney Opera House on July 12, 2026. The band is known for its distinctive blend of neo-soul, jazz, and experimental music, characterized by complex harmonies, unconventional song structures, and Nai Palm’s unique vocal delivery. Their sound often incorporates elements of improvisation and draws influence from a wide range of genres including funk, hip-hop and world music. Hiatus Kaiyote gained international recognition following the release of their debut album *Tawk Tomahawk* in 2012.
The Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney Harbour. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, construction began in 1959 and was completed in 1973. Its iconic sail-like shells cover a series of performance spaces including concert halls, theatres, a playhouse and a studio.
