New Century Locker is a relatively new venue situated within a converted railway arch in the heart of Manchester’s industrial estate. Originally built as part of the London & North Western Railway in 1888, the arches were historically used for warehousing and storage – specifically lockers for railway workers hence the name. The space was repurposed as a music venue in 2022 by Now Wave, a Manchester-based independent promoter known for supporting emerging and alternative artists. It is designed to host intimate performances with a focus on showcasing diverse musical talent and has quickly become recognized for its unique atmosphere and strong sound system.
