GREX is a musical project centered around artist Alex Epton, creating a blend often described as post-punk, darkwave, and synth-pop. Their sound incorporates elements of 80s new wave and coldwave, characterized by driving basslines, atmospheric synthesizers, and introspective lyrical themes. GREX has released several albums and EPs through labels including Dais Records and Sacred Bones Records, cultivating a dedicated following within the underground music scene.

Thee Stork Club is a longstanding independent music venue located in Oakland, California. Established in 2015, it quickly became known for its intimate setting and focus on showcasing experimental and alternative acts. The club occupies a relatively small space, fostering a close connection between performers and audience members. It’s developed a reputation for supporting local Bay Area artists alongside touring national and international acts spanning genres like post-punk, industrial, electronic music, and noise. The venue’s aesthetic leans towards a raw, DIY approach with a distinctly unpolished atmosphere. It frequently hosts events beyond traditional concerts including DJ sets and art installations.
