The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on June 12, 2027. The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra is a fully professional orchestra presenting a broad repertoire encompassing classical masterworks, pops concerts, and educational programs. Known for its commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement, the orchestra frequently collaborates with regional and national artists. Its musical style leans towards traditional orchestral arrangements while also incorporating contemporary pieces.

The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts opened in September 2019, representing a significant investment in downtown Greensboro’s revitalization. The venue boasts a 2,300-seat main hall designed for Broadway shows, concerts, and other large-scale performances, alongside a smaller flexible studio theater. Constructed as a public-private partnership involving the City of Greensboro, Cone Health, and private donors including the Tanger Family Foundation – from which it derives its name – the center aims to be a cultural hub for the Piedmont Triad region. It replaced the Greensboro Coliseum Complex as the primary location for many performing arts events within the city. The building’s architectural design incorporates elements reflecting Greensboro's history and local artistic influences.
