The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on December 12, 2026. The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra is a fully professional orchestra presenting a diverse repertoire encompassing classical masterworks, pops selections, and contemporary compositions. Historically, the orchestra has focused on providing accessible orchestral experiences to the Piedmont Triad region while maintaining artistic excellence.

The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts opened in September 2019 as a public-private partnership between the City of Greensboro and Cone Health. It serves as a multi-purpose venue designed to host Broadway shows, concerts, comedy acts, and other large-scale performances. The center’s construction aimed to revitalize downtown Greensboro and provide a state-of-the-art performance space for regional and national touring productions. The building itself features a 2,300-seat main hall with advanced acoustics and adaptable seating configurations. Its design incorporates elements reflecting Greensboro’s history and cultural identity. The venue replaced the former Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s smaller auditorium as the primary large performing arts space in the city.
