Gov’t Mule is scheduled to perform at the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre on October 3, 2026. The band, formed in 1994, is known for a musical style rooted in blues-rock improvisation, often incorporating elements of Southern rock, funk, and psychedelic rock. Warren Haynes, guitarist and vocalist, is a prominent figure, previously associated with The Allman Brothers Band and Little Feat. Gov't Mule frequently emphasizes extended jams and dynamic interplay between its members during live performances.
The Saint Augustine Amphitheatre opened in 1968 as a replica of a Roman hippodrome. Originally conceived as a venue for equestrian events inspired by Francis Pellicer’s vision of St. Augustine as a Spanish colonial revival city, it quickly transitioned to hosting concerts. Over the years, the amphitheater has undergone several renovations while retaining its distinctive architectural character. It's recognized as a significant cultural landmark in Northeast Florida and hosts a diverse range of musical acts and events annually. The venue is situated within Anastasia State Park offering a unique outdoor concert experience surrounded by natural coastal scenery. Its capacity is approximately 7,500 for concerts when utilizing both reserved seating and lawn areas.
