Spielboden is a cultural center located in Dornbirn, housed within a former textile factory building. Originally constructed in 1912 as the "Weberei Spielboden" (Spielboden Weaving Mill), it operated as a significant industrial site until its closure in the 1980s. Subsequently, the building was repurposed and renovated to serve as a venue for diverse cultural events including concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and workshops. The space retains much of its original industrial architecture, contributing to its unique atmosphere. It’s known for hosting both established and emerging artists across various genres, with a particular emphasis on experimental and independent music. The venue's capacity is approximately 400 people standing or 250 seated.
