Gabrielle Cavassa will perform at the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay in Singapore on July 11, 2026. Cavassa is a Brazilian singer and songwriter known for her interpretations of *samba-canção* and bossa nova, often described as possessing a classic vocal style reminiscent of iconic Brazilian artists like Maysa Matarazzo and Dolores Duran. Her work frequently features arrangements that blend traditional instrumentation with contemporary sensibilities, emphasizing lyrical storytelling and emotional depth. She gained significant recognition after releasing recordings of previously unreleased songs by Tom Jobim and other composers from the golden age of Brazilian music.

The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, commonly known as the Esplanade, opened in October 2002. It is a performing arts centre situated on the waterfront of Marina Bay. Designed by Michael Wilford and James Stirling, its distinctive exterior features a unique dome-shaped structure inspired by durian fruit and mangrove trees. The complex comprises a Concert Hall, a Theatre, a recital studio, an outdoor theatre (the Esplanade Theatre), and several smaller performance spaces.
