The Keswick Theatre, located in Glenside, Pennsylvania, is a historic performing arts venue originally constructed in 1928 as a movie palace. Initially known as the Keswick Cinema, it operated as a film house for several decades before transitioning to a venue hosting live performances. The theatre underwent significant restoration in the 1980s, preserving its original Art Deco architectural details while upgrading facilities for stage productions and concerts. It’s known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, seating approximately 1,300 patrons. Throughout its history, the Keswick has hosted a diverse range of acts including musicians, comedians, and theatrical productions. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places recognizing its cultural significance.
