Nili Brosh, a contemporary instrumental guitarist, will perform at The Met Philadelphia on September 16, 2026. Brosh’s musical style is characterized by intricate fingerstyle guitar work, blending progressive rock, jazz fusion, and elements of Middle Eastern musical traditions. She is known for her innovative techniques, complex compositions, and use of extended-range guitars. Her work often features layered arrangements and dynamic shifts in texture.
The Met Philadelphia originally opened in 1908 as the Girard Building, a prominent opera house and vaudeville venue. Throughout its history it underwent several name changes – including the Standard Theatre and the John Wanamaker Auditorium – reflecting evolving ownership and programming. It served as a significant entertainment hub for Philadelphia for much of the 20th century, hosting performances by numerous renowned artists across various genres.
In 2018, after a substantial renovation completed by owner Live Nation Philadelphia, the venue was rebranded as The Met Philadelphia. The restoration preserved many of its original architectural details while upgrading its sound and lighting systems to meet modern concert standards.
