Michael “Flea” Balzary, best known as the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, will be performing at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands on July 11, 2026. Flea’s musical style is fundamentally funk-influenced rock, characterized by highly energetic and melodic basslines. While primarily recognized for his work with the Chili Peppers – a band blending elements of alternative rock, funk, punk rock and psychedelic music – he has also explored diverse musical avenues including jazz fusion and collaborations across various genres. This solo performance represents a focused showcase of his individual musicianship.

Rotterdam Ahoy is a large multi-purpose indoor arena located in Rotterdam, South Holland. Opened in 1971, it has undergone several renovations, most notably a complete rebuild completed in 2010. The venue is renowned for hosting major international events including the Eurovision Song Contest (1970 & 1980), the World Indoor Athletics Championships and numerous concerts by globally recognized artists. Its flexible configuration allows it to accommodate events ranging from sporting competitions to large-scale theatrical productions and concerts for audiences up to approximately 14,000 people.
