Ezra Collective is a British quintet known for their dynamic and innovative approach to jazz. Their music blends elements of jazz improvisation with Afrobeat, grime, and hip-hop influences, creating a sound often described as energetic and forward-thinking. Formed in 2015, the group has gained international recognition for their live performances and critically acclaimed albums, including “You Can’t Steal My Joy” which won the Mercury Prize in 2023. The band comprises Femi Koleoso (drums), TJ Koleoso (bass), Joe Armon-Jones (keys), James Darcey (guitar) and Nubya Garcia (saxophone).

The O2 Academy Birmingham is a prominent mid-sized music venue located in the heart of Birmingham city centre. Originally opening as a cinema in 1935 as The Gaumont, it was later rebranded as the Cannon Cinema before undergoing significant renovation to become a dedicated music space in 1991. Acquired by Academy Music Group (now part of the O2 Arena group) in 2006, it has hosted a diverse range of artists across various genres, becoming a key fixture on the touring circuit for both established and emerging musicians.
