Ezra Collective is a British quintet known for their dynamic blend of jazz, Afrobeat, grime, and hip-hop influences. Formed in 2015, the group features Femi Koleoso on drums, TJ Koleoso on bass, Joe Armon-Jones on keys, James Cornish on saxophone and Milán Zrnić on trumpet. Their music frequently incorporates improvisation and draws heavily from the London music scene’s diverse cultural landscape. They gained significant recognition with their 2022 album “Where I’m Meant to Be,” which won the Mercury Prize.

The O2 Academy Glasgow is a prominent mid-sized music venue located on Eglinton Street in Glasgow city centre. Originally opening as the Cathouse in 1996, it was rebranded as the O2 Academy Glasgow in 2008 following a partnership with O2. The venue has a capacity of approximately 1300 and hosts a wide range of musical acts spanning various genres including rock, indie, electronic and increasingly, jazz and contemporary world music. It’s known for its relatively intimate setting compared to larger arenas within the city and has played host to numerous internationally touring artists alongside emerging talent throughout its history.
