Erik Deutsch is a keyboardist and composer known for his work spanning jazz, electronic music, and improvisational soundscapes. His musical style often incorporates elements of groove-based instrumental music, drawing influence from artists like Brian Eno and Herbie Hancock, while maintaining a distinctly modern aesthetic. He’s collaborated with numerous artists across genres, including Bonnie Prince Billy and Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, and has released several albums under his own name on labels such as Kranky.

Pine Knob Music Theatre, officially known as the Pine Knob Theatre at DTE Energy Music Theatre, is a large outdoor amphitheater located in Clarkston, Michigan. Opened in 1951 as a venue for showcasing popular musical acts, it initially hosted performances by artists like The Weavers and Patti Page. Throughout the 1970s and 80s, it became particularly renowned for hosting major rock concerts – earning the nickname “The Knot” due to its complex traffic patterns – featuring acts such as The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. Significant renovations occurred in the late 1990s and early 2000s improving acoustics and amenities.
