Stanmer Park is a large public park situated within the South Downs National Park, approximately three miles east of Brighton city centre. Historically part of the Stanmer Estate owned by the Pelham family for centuries, it was acquired by Brighton Corporation in 1947. The park encompasses approximately 739 acres and features a mix of woodland, grassland, and formal gardens.
