The Heilig-Kreuz-Münster (Holy Cross Minster) is a significant historical church in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Originally founded as a collegiate church in the early 12th century, it showcases Romanesque architecture with later Gothic additions. The church’s construction began around 1160 and was influenced by French cathedral building traditions. Notably, its westwork – a monumental western facade – is considered one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Southern Germany.
