Birdland Marina is an outdoor performance venue located in the Chelsea Piers complex along the Hudson River in New York City. It operates as an extension of the legendary Birdland Jazz Club, established in 1949. While the original Birdland on Broadway was a pivotal location in the history of bebop and modern jazz – hosting performances by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane – it closed in 1965. The name was revived in 1986 at a new location, and Birdland Marina represents a further expansion, offering open-air concerts during warmer months.
