Eliel Lazo is a Cuban percussionist and composer recognized for his virtuosic performance and innovative approach to Afro-Cuban rhythms. His musical style blends traditional Cuban percussion – including instruments like the batá drums, congas, and timbales – with elements of jazz, classical music, and world music influences. He frequently leads ensembles focusing on the rumba tradition while also exploring contemporary compositions that showcase the breadth of Cuban percussion.

The concert will take place at Kathrin-Türks-Halle in Dinslaken, Germany on December 4th, 2026. This multi-functional event venue opened in 2013 and serves as a significant cultural hub for the Lower Rhine region. Designed by architects Sauerbruch Hutton, the hall is notable for its distinctive facade featuring coloured glass panels and its flexible interior spaces. It hosts a diverse range of events including concerts, theatre performances, conferences and exhibitions.

Kathrin-Türks-Halle has a capacity of approximately 800 standing or 500 seated attendees and is equipped with modern stage technology and acoustics designed to accommodate various performance types.
