The Dutch Swing College Band is scheduled to perform at the Mathias-Jakobs-Stadthalle in Gladbeck, Germany on September 6, 2026. The band is renowned for its traditional New Orleans jazz style, often incorporating elements of Dixieland, swing, and early jazz standards. Formed in 1945, they are one of the longest-running traditional jazz bands globally, maintaining a consistent performance schedule and international following throughout their history. Their sound features prominent clarinet, trombone, trumpet, banjo, piano, double bass and drums.

The Mathias-Jakobs-Stadthalle is a multi-purpose event venue located in Gladbeck, North Rhine-Westphalia. Originally constructed in 1986, it serves as a significant cultural hub for the region. The hall’s design allows for flexible configurations accommodating concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions and conferences. It has a capacity of approximately 800 seated attendees and features modern acoustic and lighting systems. The Stadthalle underwent renovations in 2017 to improve accessibility and upgrade technical infrastructure. It’s named after Mathias Jakobs, a local industrialist who significantly contributed to the development of Gladbeck.
