Experience Django Festival Allstars live on November 19th
Django Festival Allstars presents a vibrant continuation of the gypsy jazz tradition pioneered by Django Reinhardt. The ensemble performs a repertoire rooted in the “hot jazz” style of 1930s France, characterized by virtuosic guitar work, driving rhythms, and improvisational energy. Their music blends Reinhardt’s compositions with original pieces and arrangements, maintaining a distinctly swinging and melodic quality. The group features leading musicians dedicated to preserving and evolving this unique genre.
The Hobby Center For The Performing Arts in Houston, Texas, opened in September 2002. It serves as a primary venue for Broadway tours, concerts, dance performances, and other large-scale theatrical events within the city. The complex encompasses two main performance spaces: the Sarofim Hall, seating approximately 2,650 people, and the smaller Cullen Theatre which holds around 500. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the building’s architecture incorporates elements reflecting Houston's diverse cultural landscape. It is located in the Theater District of downtown Houston and has become a significant contributor to the region's arts and cultural scene since its establishment.
