Keystone Korner originally operated in San Francisco from 1972 to 1985, becoming renowned as a premier jazz club hosting legendary artists like Bill Evans, Art Blakey, and Dexter Gordon. It was known for its intimate setting and high-quality sound system. In 2018, the Keystone Korner name was revived in Baltimore through a partnership between SPB Productions and the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric. The Baltimore location aims to recreate the original club’s atmosphere and commitment to showcasing both established and emerging jazz talent. It functions as a dedicated listening room prioritizing acoustic performance and an immersive experience for audiences.
