Kenny Garrett, a highly acclaimed American jazz alto saxophonist, will be performing at Keystone Korner in Baltimore, Maryland on September 12, 2026. Garrett’s musical style is rooted in the post-bop tradition, heavily influenced by his mentor Charlie Parker and John Coltrane, but incorporates elements of funk, Latin rhythms, and blues. He is known for his virtuosic technique, complex improvisations, and emotionally charged performances. Throughout his career he has released numerous albums as a leader and collaborated with jazz luminaries such as Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, and McCoy Tyner.

Keystone Korner originally existed as a legendary jazz club in San Francisco from 1972 to 1985. Founded by Todd Barkan, it became renowned for hosting both established jazz masters and emerging talents, capturing many historically significant performances. The club was known for its intimate atmosphere and dedication to straight-ahead jazz.

In 2018, Keystone Korner was revived as a performance space in Baltimore through a partnership between Barkan and the developers of the historic Ideal Theatre building.
