The British Airways i360, commonly referred to as the i360 or British Airways Arc, is a 162-metre (531 ft) observation tower on the seafront of Brighton. Completed in 2016, it was designed by Marks Barfield Architects – the same firm responsible for the London Eye. The pod, a fully glazed viewing capsule, slowly ascends and descends the central tower offering panoramic views of Brighton, the South Coast and the English Channel. The structure aims to be more than just an observation tower; it incorporates a restaurant and event space within its base building and utilizes renewable energy sources in its operation.
