Dhafer Youssef will perform at the Jazz A Juan festival in Juan-les-Pins, France on July 11, 2026. Youssef is a Tunisian oud player and vocalist known for his distinctive blend of jazz, Arabic music, and Sufi influences. Jazz A Juan is one of Europe’s oldest jazz festivals, having been founded in 1963 by Eddie Barclay. Initially conceived as a promotional event for Barclay’s record label, it quickly evolved into a significant international jazz event held annually in the Pine Grove (Pinède) of Juan-les-Pins. Throughout its history, the festival has hosted many prominent figures in jazz including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis and contemporary artists. The venue itself – an open-air theatre nestled amongst pine trees overlooking the Mediterranean Sea – is considered iconic within the jazz festival circuit.
