Destroyer, the musical project led by Dan Bejar, will perform at Sala Copérnico in Madrid, Spain on September 19, 2026. Destroyer’s music is often categorized as art rock or baroque pop, characterized by Bejar’s distinctive vocal delivery, complex lyrical content frequently referencing literature and film, and arrangements incorporating elements of jazz, new wave, and orchestral instrumentation. Since forming in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1996, the project has released a consistently evolving discography spanning over a dozen studio albums, gaining critical acclaim for its sophisticated songwriting and atmospheric soundscapes.

Sala Copérnico is a prominent live music venue located in the Malasaña neighborhood of Madrid. Originally established in 1998, it quickly became known for hosting both established and emerging artists across a diverse range of genres including indie rock, electronic music, and alternative pop. The venue is noted for its intimate setting – with a capacity around 400 people – fostering close interaction between performers and audiences. It has played host to numerous international acts and remains a significant fixture within Madrid's independent music scene. The space itself is housed within a historic building contributing to its unique atmosphere.
