Deep Forest is scheduled to perform at The Workman's Club in Dublin 2, Ireland on November 6th, 2026. The musical project, initially formed in the early 1990s by Michel Sanchez and Eric Mouquet, is known for its pioneering blend of electronic music with world music traditions. Deep Forest gained international recognition through their debut album *Deep Forest* (1992), which prominently featured samples of traditional music from Papua New Guinea and other cultures, creating a distinctive atmospheric and melodic sound. Their work often incorporates field recordings and explores themes of cultural preservation through musical innovation. Subsequent albums continued this exploration, incorporating sounds from various regions globally.

The Workman's Club itself has a long history as a social and cultural venue in Dublin. Originally established in 1849 as a meeting hall for tradesmen and labourers, it underwent periods serving different functions including as a boxing venue and a billiards hall. In recent decades it has become a well-known live music venue and nightclub, hosting both established and emerging artists across multiple genres. The building retains many of its original Victorian architectural features, contributing to its character as a historic Dublin landmark located on Wellington Quay.
