Burghof Lörrach is a cultural center housed within a former Benedictine monastery dating back to the 12th century. Originally established as a collegiate foundation, the site served religious purposes for centuries before being secularized in the 19th century. Following periods of varied use, including as a school, it was renovated in the 1980s and transformed into a venue for concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and other cultural events. The building retains significant architectural features from its medieval origins alongside modern additions designed to accommodate its current function as an arts space.
