DARKSIDE is a collaborative musical project primarily involving Nicholas Jaar and Raica, known for its atmospheric and experimental electronic music. Their sound blends elements of techno, jazz, ambient, and post-punk, often characterized by hypnotic rhythms, heavily processed vocals, and a generally melancholic tone. The duo initially disbanded in 2017 after extensive touring following their debut album *Psychic*, but reformed in 2022 and released a new album, *Cavern of Echoes*, in 2024. Their live performances are noted for being immersive and visually driven experiences.

La Gaîté lyrique is a cultural center in Paris’s 3rd arrondissement, originally built in 1862 as a theatre dedicated to operetta. Throughout its history it has undergone several transformations; it served as a cinema and then a municipal dance hall before falling into disrepair. Following extensive renovations completed in 2011, La Gaîté lyrique was reimagined as a multidisciplinary space focusing on digital arts and contemporary music. It now houses concert venues, exhibition spaces, workshops, and co-working areas.
