Dana and Alden are a musical duo known for their intricately arranged indie folk music, often featuring close vocal harmonies and incorporating elements of jazz and chamber pop. Their songwriting frequently explores themes of intimacy, memory, and the natural world, utilizing instruments like guitar, piano, and violin to create a layered soundscape. They began collaborating in 2016 while students at Harvard University, gaining recognition through self-released recordings and performances in the Boston area before expanding their touring nationally.

The Sinclair, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a performance venue established in 2012 by independent film distributor Synapse Films. Originally conceived as a space to showcase independent cinema alongside live music, it quickly became a popular destination for both emerging and established artists across various genres including indie rock, alternative, and electronic music. The venue’s design incorporates a retro aesthetic reminiscent of mid-century modern spaces with a focus on visual presentation through its integrated cinema screen. It maintains a capacity of approximately 525 standing or 300 seated attendees. The Sinclair is situated on Massachusetts Avenue in the Central Square neighborhood of Cambridge, known for its vibrant arts and music scene.
