Cliff Bell's is a longstanding jazz club located in Detroit’s historic Harmonie Park neighborhood. Originally opened in 1948 by Clifford “Cliff” Bell, it quickly became a prominent venue for nationally and internationally recognized jazz musicians including Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane. The club experienced periods of closure throughout its history, notably in the 1980s and again in the early 2000s. It was subsequently renovated and reopened under new ownership in 2006, continuing its tradition of hosting live jazz performances within an intimate setting characterized by its art deco aesthetic.
