Cyrus Chestnut will be performing at Birdland Marina on July 24, 2026. Chestnut is a highly regarded jazz pianist known for his distinctive blend of gospel, swing, and post-bop influences. He has released numerous albums as a leader and sideman, collaborating with artists like Wynton Marsalis and Terrence Blanchard, establishing himself as a significant figure in contemporary jazz.

Birdland Marina is a relatively recent extension of the historic Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. Originally opened in 1949, the original Birdland on Broadway became legendary as a premier jazz venue hosting nearly every major jazz artist of the mid-20th century. After closing in 1965, the name was revived in 1986 at a different Manhattan location. Birdland Marina represents an attempt to expand the brand’s presence with an outdoor waterfront setting offering live music performances. The space aims to capture some of the atmosphere of the original club while providing a more relaxed and expansive environment for audiences. It officially opened in late 2024.
