Club d’Elf is scheduled to perform at Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine on July 25, 2026. The group is known for its unique blend of jazz, funk, and electronic music, often incorporating influences from Moroccan and Middle Eastern traditions. Formed in 1994, Club d’Elf initially served as a vehicle for keyboardist John Medeski to explore improvisation and diverse musical styles outside of his better-known band Medeski Martin & Wood. Over time, it evolved into a collective with a rotating cast of musicians, maintaining a core centered around Medeski and drummer Billy Martin. Their performances are characterized by extended jams and a focus on spontaneous composition.

Bayside Bowl operates as both a bowling alley and live music venue. Originally opening in 1964 as a traditional bowling center, it underwent significant renovations in the early 2010s to incorporate a dedicated performance space. The venue quickly became known for hosting a wide range of musical acts, particularly those within the jam band and improvisational music scenes. It maintains its bowling operations alongside the concert schedule, creating a distinctive atmosphere for events.
