Experience City of London Sinfonia live on November 7th
City of London Sinfonia will perform at Kings Place, London on November 7th, 2026. The orchestra is recognised for its versatile programming, frequently blending core classical repertoire with contemporary works and cross-disciplinary collaborations. They are known for a flexible approach to ensemble size, often performing without a conductor to foster a particularly responsive and dynamic sound. The ensemble has a long history of commissioning new music and championing British composers.
Kings Place is a purpose-built arts and learning space located on York Way, near King’s Cross station. Opened in 2008, it was developed as part of the Regent’s Canal regeneration project on the site of a former biscuit factory – Carr & Co. Ltd. The building houses two concert halls: Hall One, with a capacity of 420, and Hall Two, accommodating up to 220 people. Beyond musical performances, Kings Place also hosts exhibitions, conferences, and educational activities. Its architectural design incorporates extensive use of glass and timber, aiming to create a welcoming and acoustically refined environment. The venue is committed to supporting emerging artists alongside established names across various art forms.
