Chucho Valdés will perform at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida on October 3, 2026. Valdés is a Cuban pianist, composer, and bandleader internationally recognized as one of the most influential figures in modern Afro-Cuban jazz. His music blends traditional Cuban rhythms – *son*, *danza*, *rumba* – with elements of jazz improvisation, classical music, and contemporary influences. He is known for his virtuosic piano playing, complex arrangements, and energetic performances. Valdés won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards throughout his career, including a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2013 for *Live at the Blue Note*.

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts opened in December 2008 and serves as Miami’s premier performing arts venue.
