St Brendan’s Church in Bantry is a significant historical landmark. Originally constructed in 1756 as a Protestant church – then known as Bantry Parish Church – it underwent substantial renovation in the 1860s under the direction of architect James Franklin Fuller, resulting in its present Gothic Revival style. The church served the Church of Ireland community until the early 20th century. Following disuse, it was meticulously restored in the late 1990s and now functions as a multi-purpose cultural venue hosting concerts and community events while retaining its status as a protected structure.
