Berczy Park is a relatively new public space located in the heart of Toronto’s Distillery District. Officially opened in 2017, the park was developed on a previously underutilized site and is known for its distinctive design elements including a whimsical dog fountain featuring 42 canine figures, inspired by the area’s historical use as a Gooderham & Worts distillery where dogs were commonplace. The park's design incorporates permeable paving, extensive landscaping, and a central splash pad making it a popular gathering place for families and community events. It's situated within a designated National Historic Site known for its Victorian-era industrial architecture. The park is managed by the City of Toronto’s Parks, Forestry & Recreation division.
