Camerata Salzburg, a renowned chamber orchestra, will perform at the Auditorio Nacional De Música in Madrid on November 1st, 2026. The ensemble is celebrated for its interpretations of Classical and early Romantic repertoire, particularly the works of Mozart – with whom Salzburg has strong historical ties – but also frequently performs pieces from Bach to contemporary composers. Characterized by a flexible instrumentation allowing for varied ensemble sizes, Camerata Salzburg emphasizes clarity of sound and a historically informed performance practice. Founded in 1970 by Bernhard Paumgartner, the orchestra evolved from the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg and quickly gained international recognition for its distinctive style.
The Auditorio Nacional De Música, inaugurated in 1992, is a major concert hall in Madrid designed by architect Rafael Moneo. It forms part of the larger National Music Centre and is notable for its acoustics and architectural design which incorporates both modern and traditional elements. The hall’s main concert space, the Sala Sinfónica, has a capacity of approximately 2,300 seats and hosts a diverse range of musical performances including symphonic concerts, opera, and chamber music. It is considered one of Spain’s premier venues for classical music.
