Boris, a Japanese experimental rock band formed in 1992, will be performing at Parkteatret Scene in Oslo, Norway on November 8, 2026. The group’s music is notoriously difficult to categorize, evolving over their career to encompass elements of drone, doom metal, shoegaze, post-rock, and psychedelic rock. Initially rooted in heavy metal and noise rock influenced by bands like Black Sabbath and Melvins, Boris has consistently pushed boundaries with lengthy compositions, dynamic shifts between extreme heaviness and quiet ambience, and incorporation of diverse instrumentation.

Parkteatret Scene is a historic venue located in the Grünerløkka district of Oslo. Originally constructed as a cinema in 1905 – hence “Parkteatret” meaning “Park Theatre” – it operated as such for nearly a century. Following periods of disuse and varying functions, it was renovated and reopened as a concert venue and cultural space in 2005. The venue is known for its intimate atmosphere and focus on showcasing alternative and independent music acts from both Norway and internationally. It maintains much of its original architectural character while functioning as a modern performance space with a capacity around 350 people.
