Experience Black Marble live on September 1st
Black Marble is scheduled to perform at Federal Theatre in Denver, Colorado on September 1st, 2026. The band creates music generally categorized as darkwave, post-punk, and synth-pop, often characterized by its melancholic atmosphere, driving basslines, and use of vintage synthesizers. Formed in Brooklyn, New York around 2017 as a solo project for Chris Stewart, Black Marble has evolved to include additional members while maintaining Stewart as the primary songwriter and vocalist. They have released several albums and EPs through labels like Dais Records, gaining recognition within the contemporary underground music scene.
Federal Theatre originally opened in 1948 as a movie palace designed in the Streamline Moderne style. It operated as a single-screen cinema for several decades before falling into disrepair. Restored and reopened in 2016, it now functions as a multi-purpose venue hosting live music performances, film screenings, and other events. The space retains much of its original architectural detail including ornate plasterwork and a large stage area. Its capacity is approximately 500 people standing or 350 seated.
