Black Marble is scheduled to perform at Dada Dallas on September 18, 2026. The band’s music is generally categorized as darkwave, blending elements of post-punk, synth-pop, and shoegaze. Characterized by its atmospheric textures, driving basslines, and often melancholic vocals, Black Marble’s sound draws comparisons to early 1980s European synth acts while maintaining a distinctly modern sensibility. The project began as the solo work of Chris Stewart in 2017 before evolving to include additional members for live performances. They have released several albums and EPs through labels such as Dais Records.

Dada Dallas is a long-standing live music venue located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Originally opened in 1978, it quickly became a central hub for the burgeoning new wave and punk scenes in the area. Throughout the 1980s and 90s, Dada hosted numerous nationally touring acts alongside local bands, contributing significantly to the development of Dallas’s independent music landscape.
