Black Country, New Road is a British post-punk band formed in Cambridge in 2018. Their music is characterized by dynamic shifts in instrumentation, incorporating elements of jazz, klezmer, and experimental rock alongside traditional rock instrumentation. Lyrically, their songs often explore themes of alienation, anxiety, and modern life, delivered with spoken-word passages and intense emotionality. The band gained critical acclaim following the release of their debut album *For the First Time* in 2021, and subsequent album *Ants From Up There* in 2022. They are currently undertaking touring commitments with a revised lineup following personnel changes.
