He gained prominence as a founding member of the Snarky Puppy collective, contributing significantly to their complex arrangements and improvisational style. The Pavilion Theatre itself opened in 1938 as a super cinema, designed by renowned architect Harry Weedall. Originally seating over 1,000 patrons, it served as a popular entertainment venue throughout the mid-20th century showcasing films and live performances. Following a period of decline and closure in the late 1990s, a significant restoration project was undertaken with funding from the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The theatre reopened in 2015 as a multi-purpose arts centre hosting theatre productions, concerts, film screenings and community events. It maintains many of its original Art Deco features while incorporating modern facilities.
