The Grog Shop is a long-standing independent music venue located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Originally established in 1989, it has become a significant fixture in the city’s music scene, hosting a diverse range of national and local acts across genres including rock, punk, indie, and experimental music. The venue is known for its intimate setting and relatively small capacity—approximately 300 standing— fostering close interactions between performers and audiences. Over its history, The Grog Shop has hosted early performances by numerous artists who later achieved wider recognition. It underwent a relocation within Cleveland Heights in 2017 but continues to operate as a key live music space.
