Experience Bernard Labadie live on March 25th

Bernard Labadie is a Canadian conductor renowned for his interpretations of Baroque and Classical period music, particularly celebrated for his historically informed performance practice. He frequently directs orchestras from the keyboard, often performing as harpsichordist or fortepianist. His approach emphasizes clarity of texture, rhythmic vitality, and a nuanced understanding of the stylistic conventions of the era. He is the founder of Les Violons du Roy, a leading period-instrument orchestra.

La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is the primary performance venue for the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM). Opened in 2011, it replaced the Salle Wilfred-Pelletier within Place des Arts as the OSM’s main concert hall. The hall is recognized internationally for its exceptional acoustics, designed by the firm Artec Consultants Inc., and is considered one of the finest concert venues in North America. Its design incorporates a “shoe-box” shape optimized for natural sound reflection and features adjustable elements to tailor acoustics to different ensembles and performances. The building itself is part of the larger Place des Arts complex which serves as Montreal's largest performing arts complex.
